Spring Break Reading Plan - totally nicked from like 5 other people…
hubbin, boo and i leave for AZ on saturday. hubbin is coming home tuesday and boo and i are staying until the 30th. i can’t wait. hubbin is going to be super busy with work and finishing the basement. he has to travel a bit to the east coast too. so it works out.
i have five books that i am going to attempt to read over the two weeks that i’m gone. now, keep in mind that i will be down there by myself with a toddler. so that should give me a major handicap right there. but here there are, in no particular order…
the good good pig by sy montgomrty - this caught my eye while i was wraping books for charity last holiday season and being a huge fan of “babe” and “charlotte’s web” i figured this was right up my alley.
love is a mix tape by rob sheffield - a jcsg bookclub bitches pick. looks like “high fidelity” with a set list. i’m warming up my itunes gift certificate right now.
the gun seller by hugh laurie - dr. house wrote a novel? count me in! i’m kind of a sucka for the celebrity novelist; except ethan hawke, someone just needs to kick that kid in the chin.
the night watch by sarah waters - the NEW bookclub’s pick. probably the one i won’t read since we aren’t meeting until the end of may. love in world war II london, i can feel myself getting sleepy already.
sometimes a great notion by ken kesey - another one that caught my eye while gift wrapping, some cute little college boy said it was the best book he’s ever read and i thought “awww, you’re adorable!” so i bought the book.
